During pregnancy, a women's immune system is down-regulated to prevent
rejection of the fetus as 'foreign tissue'. This down-regulation makes
pregnant women more susceptible to some foodborne illnesses such as
listeriosis and toxoplasmosis. A bulletin titled "Food Safety During
